Applications have opened for the NSW Government’s 2026/27 Organisation Support Program, with $10 million available to help sporting organisations expand participation, support volunteers and strengthen community sport across the state.
The funding is available to State Sporting Organisations and State Sporting Organisations for People with a Disability, with the aim of supporting local clubs, competitions and community programs.
The government said this year’s program includes an additional $7 million investment, bringing total funding through the Organisation Support Program to $35 million since the Minns Government took office.
The funding is intended to assist organisations in delivering grassroots sport while also supporting pathways for athletes pursuing Olympic, Paralympic and national-level competition.
Community sport organisations across NSW have faced increasing financial and operational pressures in recent years, including rising facility costs, volunteer shortages and growing demand for participation opportunities. Government support programs have become an important source of funding for many sporting bodies seeking to expand access and maintain local competitions.
NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper said the funding was designed to support sport at every level, from community clubs to elite athlete development.
He said the investment would help sporting organisations grow participation, strengthen volunteer support and create more opportunities for people across NSW to become involved in sport.
