Australian food distributor urges customers to report affected products after anti-immigration stickers appeared on supermarket shelves.
Sabi Foods has condemned the placement of racist stickers on its products in Australian supermarkets, describing the campaign as “shameful” and urging customers to report any affected items to store staff.
The company issued its first public response after photographs circulated online showing anti-immigration stickers attached to Pattu-branded grocery products as part of an organised campaign targeting Indian food products.
“Our purpose has always been simple, to bring the tastes of home to Australian tables,” the company said.
“We are aware that stickers carrying racist messaging have been placed on our products on supermarket shelves as part of an organised campaign targeting Indian groceries. We find this conduct shameful. But we won’t let this define us, and we won’t hand it more attention than it deserves.”
The statement comes after The Indian Sun reported on the appearance of “Remigration Now” stickers on Indian grocery products and examined the legal questions surrounding the placement of unauthorised political material on supermarket goods.
Sabi Foods said its products were used by Australians from different backgrounds and stressed that the campaign would not change the company’s focus.

“Our food sits in the pantries of families from every background in this country. That is who we are, and that is who we answer to.”
The company also advised customers not to purchase products carrying the stickers.
“To our customers, if you find a sticker on any product, please report it to store staff and don’t purchase that item, so it can be removed and checked. We are working with our retail partners to make sure shelves stay clean and safe.”
Sabi Foods thanked customers for their support and said it would continue serving communities across Australia.
“Thank you to everyone who has stood with us. We will keep doing what we’ve always done, feeding communities and being proud of the ones we come from.”
No further incidents have been reported to The Indian Sun since the photographs first emerged online.
