Acclaimed independent Indian singer-songwriter Rahgir will perform in Australia for the first time this August, with concerts planned in Sydney and Melbourne as part of his debut Australian tour.
Organised by Jashn Foundation in partnership with dlive events, the tour will see Rahgir perform in Sydney on 22 August and Melbourne on 23 August 2026. The concerts are expected to attract fans of independent Indian music as well as members of Australia’s multicultural community.
Rahgir has built a strong following through his songwriting and live performances, with music centred on themes including life, love, hope, identity and human connection. His work has found an audience across India and overseas, particularly among younger listeners and families.
The tour marks Rahgir’s first live performances in Australia. Jashn Foundation, a Melbourne-based not-for-profit organisation, said the concerts form part of its ongoing work to promote arts, culture and community engagement across multicultural Australia through cultural events.
The organisation said the Australian tour offers audiences “an evening of heartfelt music, storytelling and meaningful lyrics” that have earned Rahgir a devoted following in India and internationally.
Tickets for both concerts are now available through DryTickets. Organisers are encouraging people to book early for what will be Rahgir’s first Australian performances.
The Sydney concert will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, followed by the Melbourne performance on Sunday, 23 August 2026.
