The Consulate General of India, Brisbane has announced the Namaste India Festival, a one-day event designed to bring Indian culture, arts, and community engagement to Brisbane through a series of hands-on workshops and interactive sessions.

Scheduled for 25 January 2026, the festival will take place at Level 12, 301 Coronation Drive in Milton. The format allows participants to choose the workshops or sessions they wish to attend, shaping a personalised experience rather than a fixed programme.

Organisers say the focus is on participation and exploration, giving attendees a chance to engage directly with elements of India’s cultural heritage. With sessions running across the day, the event aims to encourage learning, exchange, and connection within a shared space.

Places for each session are limited, and early registration has been encouraged. The festival is positioned as a community-focused gathering that reflects ongoing cultural links between India and Australia, with Brisbane providing the setting for this exchange.

Further details and registration information are available directly from the Consulate General of India in Brisbane.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
