Residents and business owners across Parramatta are being encouraged to share their views on local services, facilities and programs through the City of Parramatta’s 2025 Community Satisfaction and Business Surveys.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the surveys are an important way for Council to listen and respond to the needs of its growing community.
“Your feedback helps us identify where Council can do better and allows us to prioritise what you want most for the future,” Cr Zaiter said.
More than 1,950 people took part in the 2024 Community Satisfaction Survey, which recorded an overall rise in satisfaction with Council’s investment in the community. Residents highlighted recycling initiatives, the quality of public and green spaces, and local events as areas of improvement. Many also expressed appreciation for new public facilities such as PHIVE and the Parramatta Aquatic Centre.
While the response was largely positive, participants also pointed to areas that could be improved, including communication with Council, maintenance of local roads and parking in commercial areas.
“Last year’s survey helped drive the evolution of Council’s new Customer Transformation Plan, while giving us the impetus to upgrade and reduce the cost of parking at Parramatta Station and Junction Precinct car parks,” Cr Zaiter said.
Council’s annual Business Survey is also underway, offering local business owners a chance to share how Council can better support their operations.
“If we’re going to continue growing our economy and ensuring businesses thrive, we need to understand how we can make business interactions with Council easier to improve efficiency and stimulate the local economy,” Cr Zaiter said.
Both surveys are short and designed to give residents and businesses an easy way to influence future decisions. The feedback gathered will guide Council’s focus for the year ahead.
