Ashes, India & Women’s Test at the WACA: Summer cricket tickets go live

Cricket Australia has opened the pre-sale gates for what it is calling one of the busiest international summers on record, featuring marquee matchups including the Men’s Ashes, back-to-back series against India, and a historic Women’s Test match at the newly redeveloped WACA Ground.

From Darwin to Hobart, the 2025–26 calendar stretches across 14 venues in 11 cities. General public ticket sales begin on 13 June, but those who’ve already registered for pre-sale can start snapping up seats now.

The early response suggests high demand. Pre-sale registrations are up 23 per cent compared to last year, according to Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg, who noted that “last summer’s incredible crowds showed just how passionate Australians are about their cricket.”

India’s return looms large on the schedule. The men’s team, fresh off a fiercely contested Border-Gavaskar series, will arrive in October for a white-ball tour, including what will be the first-ever five-match T20I series between the two sides in Australia. They’ll also feature in a three-match ODI series kicking off in Perth, followed by stops in Adelaide and Sydney.

Before that, Australia’s men will take on South Africa in three T20s and three ODIs in the country’s northern outposts—Darwin, Cairns, and Mackay—starting 10 August. These early-season clashes give fans in regional areas a chance to see international action up close before the season swings into its marquee fixtures.

The Men’s Ashes will command national attention from late November, with five Tests scheduled in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Boxing Day Test at the MCG and the Pink Test at the SCG remain as iconic centrepieces of the cricketing calendar.

The women’s fixture list is no less packed. India will tour for a full multi-format series beginning in February, including three T20Is, three ODIs, and a four-day Test match. That Test, set for 6–9 March at the new WACA Ground in Perth, marks a milestone moment for women’s cricket. Last summer, the Australian women delivered a clean Ashes sweep, and expectations are high once again.

This summer’s itinerary also reflects Cricket Australia’s effort to spread high-profile games across a broader set of locations. Matches are scheduled from the Top End to Tasmania, including rarely featured venues like the Gold Coast Stadium and the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. Canberra will host games across both men’s and women’s series, continuing its growing role in the national fixture.

Cricket Australia is also banking on the dual drawcard of India’s popularity and Ashes tradition to pack stadiums. Last season’s attendance figures reached new highs across both men’s and women’s matches, driven by post-pandemic demand and high-profile contests. The upcoming season, officials believe, will test those limits again.

“The return of South Africa, India, the Ashes, and the women’s Test at the new WACA Ground are all fantastic moments that fans won’t want to miss,” Greenberg added.

The summer kicks off on 10 August in Darwin with the first of three men’s T20s against South Africa. The final match of the international season will be the Women’s Test in Perth from 6–9 March—rounding off a season built on big names, deep rivalries, and packed calendars.
