Liverpool’s colourful Christmas in the Mall will turn on the festive cheer in Macquarie Mall from 5pm to 10pm on 29 November to 1 December

Get ready to deck the halls because Liverpool is about to transform into a Christmas wonderland, and Santa Claus is making a grand entrance to kick off the festivities. From 29 November to 1 December, Macquarie Mall will light up with Christmas cheer, promising three magical evenings from 5pm to 10pm.

Santa and Mrs Claus, fresh from their North Pole workshop, will take centre stage, meeting local children and listening to their festive wishes. Adding to the merriment, a few mischievous elves might make a surprise appearance, perhaps even Rudolph if we’re lucky. It’s the perfect moment for families to create memories—whether it’s snapping a festive ‘elfie’ or enjoying a heartwarming chat with Santa himself.

Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun captured the spirit of the season, saying, “Christmas is a special time when we can pause and embrace the joy and togetherness it brings. Santa graces us with his presents, but more importantly, his presence.” He added, “I hope everyone in Liverpool finds a little happiness during this wonderful season.”

The celebrations promise something for everyone. Sing along to timeless carols led by talented performers, immerse yourself in a Christmas-themed movie marathon, or let children unleash their creativity with face painting and crafts. Santa will also be collecting letters from eager children, ensuring no Christmas wish goes unread.

Mark your calendars and join in the festive fun as Macquarie Mall becomes the heart of Liverpool’s Christmas celebrations. After all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year—so why not share in the magic?

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.
