Jetstar is expanding its presence in Perth with new flight routes from Southeast Asia, marking a significant boost for Western Australia’s tourism and economy. The new non-stop service from Singapore, which commenced on 1 August, has been operating three times a week. As of tomorrow, this service will increase to six weekly flights, delivering more than 72,000 inbound seats annually. Singapore is not only geographically close but also represents the state’s second-largest international visitor market, with over 92,000 Singaporean visitors arriving in Western Australia in the year ending March 2024.
Following the increased frequency of the Singapore service, Jetstar will launch a new connection from Bangkok on 6 September. This will add to the recently established route between Phuket and Perth, which started on 6 August. These three new services will expand Jetstar’s Western Australian operations, with up to 60 pilots based in Perth to support these new connections.
