Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev does not need any introduction. He is popular the world over. His penchant for bike riding is also well known. He is an indefatigable and a relentless crusader for the causes he is passionate about. He has a huge following and his articulation on Inner Engineering is avidly followed, so also his talks on other subjects.

He is on a mission to raise global awareness. He has embarked on a 100 day motorcycle journey from the United Kingdom to India. He will be touching 26 countries and traversing 30,000 kilometres. He will travelling solo, braving the elements!

We have all heard of the Flying Scotsman. Now the Whizzing Sadhguru!

A test of endurance even for this 64 year old peripatetic, environmental warrior and champion crusader. Why is he subjecting himself to this gruelling ordeal? His avowed objective is to raise awareness and alarm, bring together experts, global leaders, and citizens around the world to address an impending crisis—that of Soil Extinction!

He feels that it is imperative that we stir the collective consciousness of the world for the benefit of our children and future generations. It is critical to leave a vibrant planet capable of producing nutritious food and sustaining all life.

The “Save Soil” movement will work toward this by

  2. Inspiring about 3.5 billion people (about 60% of the World’s electorate of 5.26 billion to support policy initiatives & redirections to safeguard, nurture and sustain soils
  3. Driving national policy changes in 193 nations toward raising and maintaining the organic content of soils to a minimum of 3-6%

His whirlwind journey will start from Birmingham in the UK and take him to London, The Hague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Ljubljana, Rome, Geneva, Paris , Brussels, Cologne, Frankfurt, Bratislava, Budapest, Belgrade, Sofia, Bucharest, Istanbul, Tbilisi, Baku, Amman, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, Manama, Dubai, Muscat , Jamnagar, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mysuru and finally to his Coimbatore Abode—Isha Foundation.

He has been getting a rousing reception wherever he went and was greeted effusively by the Princes and the Plebeians alike. Generous Support has also been forthcoming.

With this SAVE SOIL campaign, Sadhguru has created heightened awareness, stirred up the globe’s conscience, united peoples of different nationalities, whipped up emotions and set the stage for affirmative action at all levels.

A stupendous effort which is deserving of accolades and definitely worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize!

We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution.
