As the number of apartment developments in Melbourne continues to grow, many buyers are choosing to purchase apartments within master-planned communities over standalone projects for their quiet location and strong sense of community.
Part of this demand comes from a shift to medium-density living, due to affordability and lifestyle preferences of buyers, that is quickly spreading to Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census, over the past 25 years the number of occupied apartments in Australia increased by 78 per cent (including flats and units, excluding townhouses).

Chee Teng, a 30-year-old nurse’s assistant at Monash Medical Centre, recently purchased a two-bedroom apartment at Gardenia, and was strongly influenced by the location within Jackson Green.
“The location of Gardenia within Jackson Green was ideal for me, I liked that it was on a side street where it is much quieter and there is minimal traffic,” says Mr Teng, adding, “I was looking at other apartments in the area but they were far too busy, especially the ones located directly on a main road.”
Spaciously designed with generous outdoor areas, Gardenia apartments range from 54 square metres to 78 square metres, with some including outdoors areas of up to 103 square metres.
