Wyndham Council hosts listening posts to connect with residents

Are you keen to hear first-hand what’s happening in your area? Now is your chance.

Wyndham City will be hosting a series listening posts over the coming months, giving residents an opportunity to hear about upcoming plans, provide input into current projects or initiatives out for consultation, or just a chance to meet Councillors and Council Officers.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Henry Barlow encouraged residents to attend the listening posts and engage with the Council.

“At Wyndham we pride ourselves on how well we engage with our community,” Cr Barlow said. “In our latest Community Satisfaction Survey, the majority of you—the residents—told us that you were satisfied with the way we consult and engage with the community. You also told us that you were pleased with the way that we provide information to residents. We want to keep building on that, to keep our community informed, which is why we’re heading out to talk to you,” he added.

The listening posts, said Cr Barlow, are just one of many ways that that the Council hopes to communicate important information. “So we encourage you to come down, have a chat, ask any questions you may have, or get to know us. If you can’t make it down we’re still always very happy to hear from our residents, so give us a call, send us an email, or drop in and visit us,” he added.
