A new $3.5 million park in Truganina that includes a netball space and basketball space, is set to open to the public. Talliver Terrace Park will be decked out with features that include a shelter and barbeque amenities, and is easily accessible by a major pedestrian and cycling bridge over Skeleton Creek.

Wyndham City’s Urban Futures portfolio holder and Truganina resident, Cr Intaj Khan, said the park was a great addition to the local community.

“This 1.3 hectare park has been months in the making and gives residents of nearby estates a welcoming and exciting place to enjoy,” Cr Khan said.

“In June Council built a new 90 metre bridge over Skeleton Creek, helping to connect people living on either side. This new park is the last piece of the puzzle for this area and will provide more valuable open space to local residents,” he added.

Talliver Terrace Park is just one of many new parks popping up in Wyndham. The others include Nottingham Crescent Park in Tarneit due to be finished in October this year and the Baden Powell Dr Reserve in Tarneit due to for completion in November. The James Cook Drive Park and the Landscape Drive Park in Truganina were also opened recently.
