September is the Season to Remember at Falls Creek

Season 2017 is shaping up to be one of the best, so it’s fair to say that we are super lucky up here at Falls Creek.

Snow depths are holding and it’s nearly September! With natural depths at 153cm+ and snow making depths at 173cm+, the entire mountain is still covered in white gold. Mother Nature continues to turn it on with occasional flurries, but it’s the gorgeous bluebird skies and sunshine we’ve had that has made Falls Creek feel like we’ve won the weather lottery!

Sunset views

It’s been a bumper season so far, and we’re expecting excellent things as we head into spring including more snow fall! There have already been forecasts of another dump of snow coming through in the first week of spring so it’s not too late to still plan your winter escape.

Fresh snow

Falls Creek has a lot to offer during your stay from skiing and snowboarding to tobogganing, biking and tubing. You can also try the snowmobile and helicopter tours as well as the night skiing and day spas. We are also very proud to have some of the best restaurants of all the resorts! Be Foodstore is a great place to stop in for breakfast or a coffee as you can bask in the sun and watch all of the action off Summit, Elk offer the gourmet express lunch if you want to only have a short break before heading out on the slopes again, and for a place to chill for après drinks Attunga on Arlberg Street has one of the best sunset views from their balcony!

Learn to board

The winter wonderland is set to continue throughout all of September here at Falls Creek, so don’t delay it any further. Head on up here and we’ll see you on the hill.

Support Independent Community Journalism

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun exists for one reason: to tell stories that might otherwise go unheard.
We report on local councils, state politics, small businesses and cultural festivals. We focus on the Indian diaspora and the wider multicultural community with care, balance and accountability. We publish in print and online, send regular newsletters and produce video content. We also run media training programs to help community organisations share their own stories.

We operate independently.

Community journalism does not have the backing of large media corporations. Advertising revenue fluctuates. Platform algorithms change. Costs continue to rise. Yet the need for credible, grounded reporting in a multicultural Australia has never been greater.

When you support The Indian Sun, you support:

• Independent reporting on issues affecting migrant communities
• Coverage of local and state decisions that shape daily life
• A platform for small businesses and community groups
• Media training that builds skills within the community
• Journalism accountable to readers

We cannot cover everything, but we work to cover what matters.

If you value thoughtful reporting that reflects Australia’s diversity, we invite you to contribute. Every donation helps us maintain the quality and consistency of our work.

Please consider making a contribution today.

Thank you for your support.
