Buller, Falls and more this winter

It’s hard to imagine we are already into August! It’s usually a cold month, but that’s ok because with the cold comes the snow!

There’s still heaps of fun to be had in winter, as long as you know where to go to find it.

Mt Hotham and Falls Creek are amazing mountains, each offering something unique and different. Mt Buller is another terrain that offers snow bunnies a chance to get their snow legs and experience activities such as skiing and snowboarding.

Now as a word of warning, going to the snow, means preparation—you need to wear the right clothing. If your feet are warm I guarantee you will be much happier at the snow. I’ve written some “must wears” when going to the snow and tips on how to stay warm.

Ever had the chance to go ballooning? Once upon a time, you never would have contemplated something like this, however now it is becoming more and more mainstream as an activity on many people’s bucket lists.

I can’t say it was actually on my bucket list, but given the chance to float above the Yarra Valley I think it should be added to yours.

The Grampians as usual is always a favourite place to visit—whether it be winter or summer you’ll always find things to do. Grampian Helicopters is once again an amazing way to see the area.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
