South Asian Bridal Show teams up with Festivals of South Asia Inc (FOSAI) to bring you the best of worlds, where fashion meets fusion.

Over the last three years since it made its debut on the fashion scene, the South Asian bridal show has been the talk of the town. “But for the first time we are showcasing the collection on a public platform,” says creative head of South Asian bridal show Nowman Kareem, who adds that he believes there’s more potential in delivering combined programs were local audiences could experience a taste of high fashion.

Kareem comes from a background of fashion and architecture with an eye for creating unique concepts. His experience ranges from fashion shows, pageants, to corporate events. Having worked with a diverse range of events in association with many notable organisation’s in the past, his work has always been successful. “The main idea of the show is to enhance knowledge of cross cultural awareness in a multi-cultural city like Melbourne where people can witness and experience other cultures,” he says.

“This year, we have the theme “Brides of Asia”, and we will have a number of pageant title holders walking the ramp in designer outfits. We also have a few interstate events lined up,” says Kareem. “Now that we have teamed up with Fosai we feel there is a lot of potential to grow,” he adds.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
