Raman Bhalla is Liberal candidate for Blacktown

Raman Bhalla, Liberal Party member, has been endorsed as Liberal Party candidate for the state seat of Blacktown in the next state elections in March 2015.

Raman started off in the Liberal Party as the official agent of the party in the 2012 local council elections. The Liberal Party won the Blacktown council elections for the first time in 2012. Raman has also been the 2013 Liberal campaign treasurer for the Federal seat of Chifley. He was also the vice president of the Liberal Party Greenway federal constituency. He is also an organiser of the Liberal Friends of India.

Raman also been active in the Indian, subcontinental and the Blacktown local community organising social and cultural activities. Within the Indian community he is well known as the organiser of Diwali in parliament, and the biggest Diwali festival in Sydney at the Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush. He is also the man behind the Diwali celebrations at Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD.

Raman is a chartered accountant by profession and he is also the vice chairman of the Australian chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
