Are you a current or aspiring community leader? Are you passionate about shaping the future of your neighbourhood? Why not join one of Wyndham’s four District Advisory Committees?

As the two-year term of the District Advisory Committees comes to an end, Wyndham City is seeking people aged 16 and over who are passionate about listening to and working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, life-stages, skills and life experiences.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Peter Maynard, said members of the Committees would have a chance to make a difference in their communities.

“The District Advisory Committees were formed to enable community members to continue to drive future development of the Wyndham 2040 Community Vision, while also overseeing the progress of the District Plans,” Cr Maynard said.

He added that the Committees will bring community members together to explore new ideas, opportunities and ways that Council and residents can work in partnership to build on Wyndham’s existing strengths.

“I encourage anyone who wants to have a long-term positive impact on the future of Wyndham to consider joining a District Advisory Committee,” Cr Maynard said.

A Terms of Reference for the District Advisory Committees was endorsed at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 24 August, 2015. To read the Terms of Reference and apply to be a part of a District Advisory Committee visit www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/wyndham2040. Applications are open now and close on Sunday, 11 February.
