BANGERS AND MASH, AND WHY ELBOW IS HIS FAVOURITE WORD

Who is Arjun Raina?

Hero of Shahrukh Khan’s first film “In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones”

What would you do differently to what you do now?

Nothing. I love what I do now. No changing!

Who inspires you and why?

The stars inspire me. I want to shine as bright when the night grows dark.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?

Talk to Pauline Hansen one-on-one.

What is your favourite holiday destination and why?

My favourite holiday destination is Australia. Because everyone is on a holiday here!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?

I would take them to the neighbouring Aboriginal site “Hanging Rocks” so that they know on whose land they stand on.

What are you currently reading?

Facebook posts. Too many of them.

What are you currently listening to?

The wind. It’s begun to howl outside.

Happiness is…?

Bangers and mash. Bacon. Fries. Anything with unhealthy fat.

What does the future hold for you?

Another day.

Which contemporary actors do you most identify with?

Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington… all black and handsome.

Favourite film?

‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’. Another one laid a couple of eggs in it. The third had them for breakfast.

Your 3 top dinner party guests and why?

Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and William. Would personally like to cook them a fine farewell Indian meal and then convince them to get out of Australia, leave, retire, dethrone, uncrown, vamoos…

Favourite word?

Elbow. It bends beautifully. Elbow.

What do the arts teach us and our children?

To love ourselves and the world.

Donate To The Indian Sun

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
