Get your snow boots on and toboggan it down to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort

The schools may have closed for the holidays, but Lake Mountain Alpine Resort has opened up like never before. With three toboggan runs and a dedicated Snowman’s Village, it’s easy to see why Lake Mountain is known as the People’s Mountain.

“We’ve expanded our Snowman’s Village this year so we can house even more snowmen and included an igloo where the whole family can have fun. We are also running lots of activities for non-skiers – including a Flying Fox, outdoor laser skirmish and the tube – a popular one with the kids,” Resort Manager, Scott Gamble said.

“We’ve definitely got something for everyone. New snow-shoe trails are a perfect introduction to snow sports and suitable for children and adults. There are short trails or all-day hikes, both great ways for anyone to experience the beauty of our renowned cross-country trails without having to ski,” added Gamble.

As the closest place to Melbourne to experience snow, Lake Mountain is renowned for offering an unrivalled first time experience for visitors of any age wanting to enjoy the magic of snow.

Lake Mountain is open from 10 am every day of the school holidays.

Donate To The Indian Sun

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
