A successful business is mainly about identifying a need. This was one thing that entrepreneurs Venkata Narasimha Raju Kollu and Surya Prakash Revu got right from the very beginning, seven years ago.
It all came together when they decided that Melbourne needed a taste from home that was as good or better than the original. Not only have they been successful but they have also maintained their unique quality.
Sweet India—the sweet manufacturing business that was established in 2009 on Kilmore Street in Hoppers Crossing became a phenomenon within a very short period
of time.
“We had customers from as far away as Dandenong and Geelong lining up for a taste of our creations,” says Raju. Hot samosas, mothichoor ladoos, jalebis and milk cakes—all well-known specialities of the Sweet India brand.
One of the greatest testaments to the quality of the product is when customers say they have stopped asking parents to bring them delicacies from India. “We have customers who tell us how they completely rely on Sweet India for their sweets and snacks,” says Prakash.
“We are all about being the top class when it comes to quality and taste.”
