Independent panel of judges announce finalists to the prestigious awards

Indian Executive Club (IEC) announced finalists to the seventh IEC Awards on 6 October. The panel of judges will now assess all finalists through a strict process of evaluation to choose the winners of the prestigious annual IEC Awards 2017. The event will be held at Sofitel in Melbourne on 18th November.

Every year, an independent panel of consultants considers nominations received for the IEC Awards and hand-picks the best of the best in various sectors of the small and medium enterprise segments and executives. This year, the IEC panel members include Alice Wong, Matina Karvounaris, Sanjay Jain, Geoff Kelly and Nessan Naidoo.

IEC will also launch the Sixth Edition of Who’s Who at the Awards. Australia founder of Gloria Jeans Peter Irvine will launch the new edition featuring some of the most prominent businesses in the community from Melbourne. Irvine will also speak at the event.

This year’s keynote speaker is OLX India founder Amarjit Singh Batra. Batra is speaking on how he build OLX, India’s leading market place.

The event is sponsored by Melbourne’s leading law firm Aitken Partners, Ferntree Gully Nissan, Pomeroy Pacific, Pentagon Group, Credit Hub and Gaura Travels. The Indian Sun is media partner to the event. November and December Editions of The Indian Sun will feature more details on the finalists and winners.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
