Anwer Ali Mohammed—Financial Planner

Ali Mohammed’s career path can best be described as unusual. Ali worked as an engineer with the Indian Air Force for 11 years, then moved on to becoming a branch manager at an IT company for four, before making the decision to start a new life in Australia.

After his arrival to the land Down Under in 2004, Ali spent the next six years working in IT retail before giving up his job and starting Planet Insurance and Financial Planning. Armed with his Master’s in Public Admin, and Diploma in Financial Planning, Ali has been providing professional financial planning advice and solutions to clients. Ali prides himself on developing excellent working relationships with all clients to provide comprehensive financial advice based on their individual needs and goals. Ali specialises in advice on investments and strategic asset allocation, budget and cashflow management, personal insurance, estate planning as well as providing advice to those looking to start small businesses.

“Taking the decision to give up my full time job and start my own business was the single most important moment in my career in Australia. There was no capital except what I could put in. Today, we have grown to have more than 3000 trusted clients and 12 staff,” says Ali, who admits it’s been a long road since his first job in Australia as a Sign-A-Rama salesman.

Donate To The Indian Sun

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
