Mohit Arora

Mohit Arora—Executive

Circa 2006. Mohit Arora remembers he had just landed in Australia, and had started up on a job as a door to door salesman selling Tru Energy Electricity plans. From there it was a hop, skip and jump to security, where he worked with Melbourne’s Crown Casino.

“And although I found the diverse cultures in Melbourne very interesting, I knew this wasn’t something I wanted to do forever,” he says.

“I was finally given the opportunity to sell cars in 2012 when I moved to Tamworth NSW. I didn’t have a licence or know how to drive a manual car and I had never worked in the industry before, but I was determined to make a success of this job and not disappoint the people that had given me the opportunity to kickstart my career. To this day I am grateful to them for giving me the opportunity and I have never looked back,” says Arora, who in his second year at the dealership, made a conscience decision to always push himself to the next level.

“When I returned to Melbourne after three years in Tamworth, I applied for work with the Number 1 Nissan dealership in Australia. I was finally given the opportunity and I was employed with Ferntree Gully Nissan,” says Arora.

He believes that FTG Nissan has given him opportunities and a skill set that has seen him grow not only as a person but also to the Number 2 salesperson for 2016.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
