Easter is here, time to spread the cheer
We love Australia. We love it for its coastal beaches, good weather, inclusive schools, and amazing family and friends.
Australia is a great place to grow up, with its amazing leisure activities like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Uluru, Adelaide Oval, and Opera House.
There are many community events to participate in and organise. These give us great opportunities to meet and make new friends. Australia is known for delicious barbeque meals, that we miss when we visit any other place. But the most exciting time of the year in Australia is when the chocolate bunnies come out, because that’s when you know Easter is just around the corner. Not that Easter is all about chocolate, there is so much more to it.
Easter is a Christian festival that celebrates the rebirth of Jesus Christ. The season of Easter lasts for six weeks and begins sometime in March or April. Easter occurs on a Sunday because it is the day that Jesus rose from the dead. Children participate in Easter egg hunts and are given tons of candy. Eggs that are made of chocolate or plastic, which are filled with candies. This day big feasts and a tradition dishes are cooked and served. Yummmmmy.
About that Easter Bunny—he wasn’t always the pink or white bunny you know, who hides chocolate eggs in your house. Long ago, he was called the Easter Hare. Some say he was a large, handsome bird that was changed into a rabbit.
It doesn’t matter really, as long as he shows up every Easter.
