These school holidays kids will be able to run away to the circus, unleash their inner rock star and enjoy a side-splitting program of shows and workshops especially created for them at the Wyndham Cultural Centre.

Wyndham City’s Arts, Culture and Heritage portfolio holder, Cr Tony Hooper, said the shows and workshops are sure to be the highlight of the school holidays.

“The school holiday program will open with a hilarious show from multi award-winning comedian Tessa Waters. Her show How to be a Rockstar will feature an hour of high energy fun, with air guitar, awesome dance moves and hit song lyrics,” Cr Hooper said.

In addition to this very special show, Tessa will also be hosting a workshop for young people aged six and over with a strong body positive message. Part disco, part rockstar training school, kids will learn all the moves to set the floor alight and walk out feeling like a star.

The fun continues with Super Amazing Giant Girl, a hilarious show that explores the challenges of fitting in. Starring the incredible Anna Lumb, this promises to be an action-packed show of thrilling circus, absurd comedy and ingenious physical theatre.

“Anna will also be hosting a special hands-on workshop for kids with hula hoops, bottle balancing and basic acrobatics,” he said.

Tickets are on sale now but are sure to go quickly, so book now!

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution.
