SIDDHARTH SHETH

SALES

Siddharth Sheth has a vivid recollection of the moment he left India and arrived in Australia. “I left home for the airport at 5 pm. It was a sad moment for me as I was leaving my country, parents, colleagues, pals, wife and kids. But on the other hand, it was the beginning of my new life in Australia—31 December 2008.”

Siddharth started life in Australia as a door-to-door salesman. “I walked miles to save money, didn’t cut my hair for three months to save a few dollars.” He still keeps the pay slip of his first salary of $346.

In 2011, he walked into Le Mans Toyota (Footscray) to buy a car for his wife at and that’s when everything changed. “While negotiating a deal, I was offered a job. Ten months later, I was employee of the month.”

Since 2012, he has been employee of the year. That year he also received the Member Award from Toyota Motors Corporation Australia, in 2013 the Gold Leader Award, in 2014, the National Achiever award from Toyota Motors Corporation Australia, then in 2015, the Le Mans Toyota’s prestigious National Achiever Award for Sales at a ceremony in Queenstown, New Zealand.

“You are never too old to set another goal. Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
