Picture perfect with Komal Popli
Komal Popli, nominated by The Indian Sun and Brides of Asia for best model of the year 2016, has always been passionate about fashion and beauty. Komal says that is was 12 years ago, when she migrated from India to Australia that her world truly became “picture perfect”.
She has bagged the lead in music videos and at Ms India Australia Quest 2013, her skill of contouring, highlighting and blending of colours on herself was recognised by fellow models and organisers.
This inspired Komal to create “Lips to Lashes Make-up Artistry” where she not only showcases her gift but also brings out the beauty and self-confidence of her clients. “I always thought make-up didn’t suit me until I met Komal. She simply analyses the face and unleashes her creativity in getting the hidden beauty out in just a few minutes,” says one of her clients.
Komal, who specialises in bridal make-up, has completed an advanced make-up course from Elite Make-up Academy in Melbourne. Her Facebook page is replete with over 6000 likes and five-star reviews from happy clients. “Damn, are there only five stars to rate?? Komal definitely deserves more! Komal has magic wands in her makeup kit!,” reads one of the posts.
Komal’s popularity has made her one of the most sought after make-up artistes for elite events including: Brides of Asia “FOSAI” Festivals of South Asia Incorporation and Miss World Australia Beauty Pageant, MMG Beauty Pageant and Melbourne Spring Fashion Expo.
Komal is no stranger to the rich and famous as she has unleashed her magic on many of Melbourne’s renowned actresses, models, music videos and is currently the lead make-up artist for a Melbourne-based film. Recently Komal did makeup and hair styling for Bollywood’s singer Jasmine Sandlas at her live performance in Melbourne.
From natural soft dewy looks to bold smoky eyes, not only does Komal specialise in Indian/Pakistani bridal hair styling and air-brush make-up but she subtly enhances the features of her clients by bringing out their hidden beauty.
