Ritu’s journey into the world of beauty, fashion started when she was crowned Miss Evening in high school. “I started to look more closely at the fashion and beauty industry,” she says. Along with her commerce studies she started doing a diploma in fashion and beauty to hone her skills. “I also started advising my close family members on how to look on their wedding day and special occasions. After a few initial consultations my family recognised my ability to create the perfect look that girls ask for,” she says.

What had started as a hobby had now become a passion with Ritu. “I have worked with a number of make-up artists both in India as well as overseas,” says Ritu, who completed her formal qualification in Australia at Melbourne Hair and Beauty College before starting her own business “Ritu’s Makeup and Hair Artistry”. “Since then I have done make-ups for a number of fashion shows, bridal shows and also make-up for Bollywood stars like Kanika Kapoor. I have participated in a number of cultural and bridal shows in Australia. I have trained with artists at BIBA in Australia, Chanel and Mac,” says Ritu.

“Every woman deserves to look beautiful and we at Ritu’s endeavour to advise on the look that suits you best and bring out the fantastic look for you. With years of experience under my belt I have started to take make-up master classes and share my skills with others and my team,” she adds.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
