Mosaic, a festival that’s all about celebrating women in multicultural Victoria, is only days away.

X Factor’s Kelebek and Aria awardee singer composer Kavisha Mazella top the list of performers at this year’s Mosaic on Sunday, 6 April, 11 am till 4 pm at QV Square behind QV Women’s Centre, 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.

Victorian Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Coalition Chairperson Zeynep Yesilyurt said, “A mosaic is a collection of pieces that are different colours, shapes and sizes, but together form a complete picture. This festival is about multicultural women coming together to form a single picture of our society.”

There will be traditional ceremonies and celebrations, music, workshops and a vibrant global marketplace at the festival. “We’ll share the journeys of these multicultural women and the wonderful culture that they bring to Victoria. Women’s multicultural groups will showcase a range of cultural practices and entertainment – including dance, music, drumming, circus and much more,” she added.

Mosaic is on Sunday, 6 April, 11am-4pm, QV Square behind QV Women’s Centre, 210 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Entry is free.

Dear Reader,

The Indian Sun is an independent organisation committed to community journalism. We have, through the years, been able to reach a wide audience especially with the growth of social media, where we also have a strong presence. With platforms such as YouTube videos, we have been able to engage in different forms of storytelling. However, the past few years, like many media organisations around the world, it has not been an easy path. We have a greater challenge. We believe community journalism is very important for a multicultural country like Australia. We’re not able to do everything, but we aim for some of the most interesting stories and journalism of quality. We call upon readers like you to support us and make any contribution. Do make a DONATION NOW so we can continue with the volume and quality journalism that we are able to practice.

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,
Team The Indian Sun
